Tim Driver is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Driver IT Consulting Company. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also holds a MS degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Computer Science. He has a Master’s Certificate in Project Management and is a Certified Scrum Master and Scrum Coach. Tim has over 20 years of extensive experience in the Information Technology and Software Engineering industries working at some of the top High Tech and I/T corporations in the country including Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, Lucent Technologies, IBM, Microsoft and LabCorp.

Tim served two terms as President of the National Society of Black Engineers, Research Triangle Alumni Chapter. He was President for the 1998-2000 term and again, 10 years later, serving for the 2009-2010 term. He is the recipient of the chapter’s 1999 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Before moving to North Carolina, Timothy was a member of the NSBE Chicago Alumni Extension and the recipient of the NSBE Region-4 1996 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Tim is also the second place national winner of the 2006 NSBE Business Plan Competition.  He is a lifetime member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the National Society of Black Engineers and the National Black MBA Association.  Last and certainly not least,Tim is a Cub Scout Den Leader and member of the Raleigh Rotary Club.

Tim is the recipient of the Lucent Technologies LUPT Graduate Fellowship. He also received the Lucent Technologies/AT&T President’s Award, and the Microsoft IT Pro Team Award for outstanding leadership, program management, and business results for business critical application development.
